When I think back on my long-standing collaboration with the Slovak Philharmonic, I recall the wide range of emotions we have experienced together on this exciting musical journey. At the same time, I look forward with joy to future projects and new artistic horizons. For me, the Slovak Philharmonic is above all a place where people connect with each other and with the world around them. A place where we realize our shared passion, where we engage with the ideas that unite us, and where we recognize and celebrate our differences. The art of playing is inextricably linked to the art of listening – listening to each other and constantly improving at it. I am immensely proud of the artistic achievements we have accomplished together during my years as chief conductor, and it is this experience that inspires me to think about the path that lies ahead. I am thinking about how we can respond through music to the challenges of a highly polarized modern world – the influence of social media and artificial intelligence, the transformations of digital culture, as well as questions of true creativity, uniqueness, and artistic truth. At the Slovak Philharmonic, we will continue to create an open and honest environment – for performers and listeners alike – in which answers to these questions can emerge.

Allow me to welcome you to the Concert Archive of the Slovak Philharmonic – a space where you can discover concerts from the recent and distant past and explore the rich world of compositions, performers, conductors, and activities of the unique ensembles of the Slovak Philharmonic: the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, Slovak Philharmonic Choir, and Slovak Chamber Orchestra. It is an honor to be part of this archive, and I look forward to seeing you not only at live concerts, but also here, on the pages documenting the rich concert activity of the Slovak Philharmonic. I look forward to our future encounters – both live and online.
