Concert without applause

“Our lives are accompanied by moments when we have no reason to rejoice, celebrate, or applaud. There are many compositions in music that are suitable accompaniments for these situations. This is how the idea of a concert without applause was born,” reveals Ewald Danel, artistic director of the Slovak Chamber Orchestra. For several seasons now, he has set himself the task of bringing less traditional programs to listeners, while also trying to involve amateur choirs and young talents. The dramaturgy of the program will provide space for meditation, quiet reflection, and the release of mental tension from the fast pace of everyday working life. The concert will also feature the work of Igor Garvanský, a promising composer who died under mysterious circumstances at the age of fifteen during a study stay in Austria. The life of Marek Brezovský also ended prematurely. In his short twenty years, he managed to create works in the fields of classical and popular music.
