Organ Recital III / David Di Fiore
The Czech composer Petr Eben is an important phenomenon for our neighbours in the field of sacred and contemporary classical music. His eight-movement work Job for organ was premiered in London in March 1988. A continuation of the Faust cycle, Eben also deals in it with the theme of the wager between God and the devil testing man. He discusses the meaning of human existence through poverty, which has been seen as a consequence of sin.
David di Fiore has toured all the world's major churches and halls in a career spanning more than thirty years. Formerly based in Seattle, he is now on the faculty of Catholic University of Ružomberok (Slovakia). Actor Kamil Mikulčík is also close to music, he likes to sing, compose and play piano and accordion.
