Organ Recital I – Stefan Donner
Johann Sebastian Bach and his work are still an endless source of inspiration, so it is no wonder that his work is also included in this recital. Two suites by the French organist and composer Louis Vierne, who held the post of organist at Notre-Dame for almost forty years, will be among the compositions that draw from the German organ tradition. They will be Prelude and Fugue by Bratislava native Franz Schmidt *and Fantasy and Fugue by German organist *Max Reger.
Organist, pianist, harpsichordist and conductor Stefan Donner is mainly busy with concert life, but he also holds the position of music theory teacher in Austria.
