The concert will feature members of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra in an unconventional but original and appealing line-up. Violinist Lucia Harvanová, who completed her musical studies in Vienna in the class of the world-famous soloist Julian Rachlin, is also engaged in chamber music as part of a duo with Michal Matejčík (harp). Percussionist Kiril Stoyanov, who completed his postgraduate studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, has won prizes at prestigious international competitions and has appeared as a soloist with several orchestras abroad. The concert will feature works by 20th-century Slovak composers, ethnically inspired music, and “hits” from the Romantic period.
