Composers: Aram Khachaturian (1903–1978)

Aram Khachaturian is best known as a composer of ballets and symphonies. His concert works are less frequently performed; they are extremely demanding in terms of technique, stamina, and concentration. Their presence on stage is therefore always a triumph of true professionalism in terms of both composition and performance.
