Jevgenij Iršai patrí k tvorcom, ktorí hľadia na svet z neradostného, priam až tragického zorného uhla. Svedčia o tom už len samotné tituly jeho diel; napríklad Desať minút o Katyni_… Sir Edward Elgar je jednou z najvýraznejších osobností novodobých dejín britskej hudby. Elegický _Koncert pre violončelo a orchester je azda jeho najslávnejším opusom. Tragédia a nihilizmus ovplyvňujú aj temný príbeh 6. symfónie Piotra Iľjiča Čajkovského. Ťažko uveriť tomu, že toto geniálne dielo písal psychicky úplne zlomený človek…
