The Danish composer Carl Nielsen is considered one of the outstanding personalities of world symphonism in the first half of the 20th century. The overture Helio presents him as a composer with a rich sonic imagination as well as a constructor; it is conceived precisely according to the proportional law of the golden section. The music of the Georgian composer Giju Kancheli springs from quite different sources. Each of his opuses is a meditation and a plunge into the depths of the subconscious of man and humanity. Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Suite No. 3 is actually a symphonic project in terms of conception and volume, with the composer not so rigorously addressing the microstructure of shapes and relationships.
