Organ recital III – Monika Melcová
In our minds, the organ is usually associated with the church setting and sacred music. However, well-known or lesser-known cantors, organists, and composers have often sought opportunities to explore secular themes through the sound of this regal instrument. This is why an organ recital may feature liturgical compositions alongside fresh themes with secular subjects. Of course, improvisation–a great asset of experienced organists–cannot be missing.
