Organ Recital III – Ludger Lohmann
The personality of Johann Sebastian Bach is generally best known, best known and most admired for his works for organ. He is perhaps the unwritten symbol of organ music. The creation of most of the imposing works is connected with Bach's first, and in terms of composition significant, stay in Weimar. The organists Johann Adam Reincken and Dietrich Buxtehude were role models for the ambitious Bach. Eager to get to know them, Bach walked 450 kilometres, mostly on his own two feet, and made the most of this encounter in his subsequent activities as an organist and composer.
