Niet azda oblasti aktivity človeka, v akej by Rusi nemali silné zastúpenie. Opera a operný spev bol a stále je klenotnicou inšpirácie či už v cárskom impériu, komunistickom „lágri“ alebo v novodobej federácii. Rusi vždy inklinovali k Francúzom, je však očividné, že ani slovanský a taliansky repertoár im dnes už nie je vzdialený. Dokážu strhnúť vnútornou drámou človeka, ostrými scénami kontroverzie, ale aj šarmom operiet a muzikálov. Rusi sú prosto Rusi a ich sila je nehynúca.
